Mission Statement
The OC Community Development department is a team of dedicated professionals who
serve the planning and development entitlement requirements of private and public
project applicants within unincorporated areas. Our planners, engineers, inspectors,
technicians, and administrative support personnel serve both the current and, through
stewardship of the physical environment, future residents of Orange County.
Effective January 7, 2010
In response to customer demand a representative from the Orange County Fire Authority
(OCFA) will now be available at the Public Counter every other Thursday from 8:30
AM – 12:30 PM. This representative can respond to customer questions and review
plans for consistency with OCFA regulations. If you have any questions about this
improvement please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Effective January 4, 2010
The Orange County Fire Authority will require that all new plan submittals and revisions
include 2 hard copies of plans and one electronic copy in PDF format.
Effective February 1, 2010
OC Community Development will also request a PDF copy of plans once the permit has
been issued. This PDF document can be submitted on CD, DVD or Memory Stick.
