The Grading Section reviews grading plans and soils/geology reports for earthwork construction; inspects earthwork construction for conformance to Code and the approved plans; compiles geological data; performs hydrology, hydraulics, soil and geological studies related to grading plans; and recommends mitigations/conditions of approval for EIR's, subdivisions and planning applications.

The Grading Plan Check section reviews grading plans and soil engineering and/or engineering geology reports submitted for proposed grading projects located within the unincorporated portions of Orange County.
