Building Permit Services is responsible for the reviewing building plans for compliance with county building ordinances and applicable state building regulations. The division issues building permits and ancillary permits such as plumbing, mechanical, and electrical.

The Mission of PDS Building Permit Services is to assist permit applicants to comply with applicable building codes and regulations through reviewing the design of all buildings and structures within the unincorporated territory of the County of Orange, and to enhance the building permit process by providing efficient and professional services to the public.
