The Subdivision Committee acts on tentative parcel maps and tentative tract maps proposing to subdivide
property in the unincorporated area of the County.
Rules and Procedures
The Subdivision Committee is governed by the State Subdivision Map Act, the Orange County Subdivision
Code, and the Orange County Subdivision Manual. Committee members are County staff representing key
County offices that are involved with land use development. The Committee acts on tentative parcel maps
and tentative tract maps proposing to subdivide property in the unincorporated area of Orange County. All
actions by the Subdivision Committee can be appealed to the Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors.
If not appealed, the Subdivision Committee's action is final.
